New Appointment: Dr. Tami Steinberg

Dr. Tami Steinberg has been appointed Director of the Institute of Neurology and Child Development at Schneider Children's. She replaces Prof. Yoram Nevo, who served in this capacity for the past few years and will continue to serve as a senior physician in the Institute

Dr. Tami Steinberg has been appointed Director of the Institute of Neurology and Child Development at Schneider Children's. She replaces Prof. Yoram Nevo, who served in this capacity for the past few years and will continue to serve as a senior physician in the Institute.

Dr. Steinberg is a specialist in pediatric neurology and child development and serves as a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. She also conducts research and has published many articles in leading international journals. She began her affiliation with Schneider Children's in 1993 as a pediatric resident, after which she specialized in neurology and child development. Between 2003-4, she furthered her studies at Kings College in London in the field of developmental genetic research concerning the relationship between neurological diseases and developmental disorders.

During her employment at Schneider, Dr. Steinberg has filled a number of roles in the Institute of Neurology and the Neuropsychiatric Clinic for Tourette's Syndrome. Over the past 14 years, she has served as Director of the Institute for Child Development. Her appointment as director of the Institute of Neurology and Child Development closes the professional circle.
